Talking SMARTBoards & Much More (Online Resource)

I’m on the road tonight, and I’ve been catching up on the blogs I subscribe to while enjoying supper at the River City Cafe in Powell River. As I read a post about a terrific math resource, I decided to write a post about that math website here.  I’ve come to believe that there’s considerable value in the “echo chamber effect” for amplifying the sharing of resources in the edublogosphere.

As I began to write, I realized that what I really wanted to do was to write a post about the blog that had pointed me to the math resource.  It’s a blog that deserves to be read widely, and not just by people involved in “special education”.

Talking SMARTBoards & Much More! is a blog written by a teacher named Anne Marie.  The focus is on resources that work particularly well on interactive white boards, and that are effective in supporting learners with designated special needs.  Most of the resources that Anne Marie shares on her blog, however, are valuable for ALL learners.

Today’s post, for example, is about Johnnie’s Math Page.  This is clearly a website offering a collection of resources that can be used to great effect by any primary teacher to engage learners interactively and enrich the learning experience.  If you support primary math learners, Johnnie’s Math Page is definitely worth checking out.

The title of Anne Marie’s blog suggests that it is about “Much More” than “Talking SMARTBoards”, and that is accurate.  The blog also contains pages that share links on severalspecific areas, as well as other pages that share the activities of Anne Marie’s class.

If you haven’t already visited, please take time to drop in on Anne Marie and her excellent blog.
