Red Letter Day for Written Output Support – Google Launches Gmail Tap

If you read this blog, you know that supports for written output are important to me. Writing is an extremely complex process, and there are many of us who struggle with writing for a wide variety of reasons. So, this morning’s announcement by Google is exciting in the extreme.

Gmail Tap adopts an ingenious concept to enable all text to be input by using only 2 keys. To start with, this new “keyboard” is available only on the Gmail apps for phones.  It’s clear that the potential of this method for text input is limitless. Check out Google’s introductory video.

This is an April Fools prank by Google that really turns my crank! I wonder if the concept is as far fetched as Google thinks.
