Welcome to this Treasure Chest of Free Stuff!

FREE online resources and downloadable programs for learners and their teachers.

The power and the potential of the internet never gets old for me. As a forum for conveniently sharing resources on a global basis it is simply too wonderful for words! I’m highlighting here a resource that has been created by a consortium of educators in Florida. The resources they are sharing are of tremendous value to English language learners everywhere.

Lit2Go is an online library of K-12 literature available in 3 formats. Each poem, article, story or novel can be downloaded as an audio mp3 file, viewed online as a web page, or downloaded for printing as a pdf file. This means that the material can be listened to either online or away from the computer, with or without following the written text.

Although restricted to literature that is available in the public domain, Lit2Go’s database is quite large, and it is growing. It can be searched by author, title, key word, or reading level.

  1. Your blog offers lots of great educational resources! You might want to add this resource to your site – it’s a place where parents and teachers can request free letters from Santa, and the letters will come in both Braille and print. It’s a great resource for educators and those working in special education! Check out http://talkingbookslibrarian.blogspot.com for more info!
