Maths Dictionary for Kids (online resource)
October 2, 2007 by Paul Hamilton

Welcome to this Treasure Chest of Free Stuff.
FREE online resources and downloadable programs for learners and their teachers.
Today’s resource helps make the point that our students need access to the internet. This is but one of countless free resources that can benefit all learners in every classroom. It is unfortunate that too many schools are still restricting access to the internet instead of focusing on teaching safe and appropriate internet use.
Math’s Dictionary for Kids 2007 (online resource) This is a powerful online resource for young maths students. As the names says, it is a maths dictionary. The name doesn’t adequately indicate how well organized and how well illustrated it is.
The straightforward user interface also makes this dictionary easy to use. Simply click on the letter, then find the term you’re looking for and click on that. Here’s what you get when you click on C and then select “chance”. As you can see, there are even interactive illustrations for some of the terms. There are also practice exercises for some.
